The Yiftach unit is a unit engaged in the development of weapons for the IDF. The unit was established in- 1958 as part of the Engineering Corps, and at the beginning of the- 21st century it moved to the Field Forces Headquarters and from there to the Land Forces Technology Division of the Land Arm. Today it is subordinated to the Land Technology Division.
