The- 56rd Home Defence Brigade was a home defence brigade of the Bundeswehr, deployed primarily in Upper and Lower Bavaria, with headquarters in Oberhausen near Neuburg an der Donau. The brigade was formed in the Territorial Army in- 1981, disbanded in- 1993 and was most recently part of the- 1st Mountain Division.
