French Foreign Legion 2nd Parachute Regiment 5th Maintenance Company pocket badge, type 2

2e Regiment Etranger de Parachutiste 5e Compagnie de Maintenance type II insigne.. The 5th Company of the 2 REP are the maintenance company of the regiment and provide material support for the regiment with its specialists consisting of four sections, including a weapons and vehicle repair section.
The company has been involved in almost all the operations of the regiment since it was created in 1994 either providing specialist technicians or combat reinforcements for the other REP companies
This is the type II badge which was adopted by the company after the 1st type, issued in 1994 was turned down by the company, they said it looked too much like a Material badge rather than a 2 REP badge..The type II badge is made by FIA with 150 numbered examples issued, 100 Camerone 95 issued and 100 10th anniversary issued...also a non numbered example exists.
