The badge was created for the SEM in 2000 by LTN CombaluzIer (section commander), The section is part of the Compagnie d'Appui and was part of the 27th Mountain Infantry Brigade in Kosovo specializing in mountain warfare, mountainous obstructions and avalanches etc.. The badge was made by Sheli with only 100 made for the Section, however like most Sheli badges they were over produced for profit by Sheli and sold on to collectors. There are at least three variants made, the one on the right in the photo is a guaranteed fake.
