The 1st Special Brigade MORiS was Slovenia's first military unit after independence and the forerunner of today's special forces. MORiS stands for Ministrstvo za Obrambo Republike Slovenije (English: Republic of Slovenia Ministry of Defense). The tab "Kočevska Reka" commemorates one of the battles in Slovenia's War for Independence in 1991.
