The Imperial Light Horse (ILH) was an infantry (later armoured car) unit of the South African military. The ILH served during the Anglo Boer War in Natal and was involved in much of the action there. It also took part in operations during World War I first in the South-West Africa Campaign and afterwards in Egypt, Palestine and France, fought in the World War II and the Border War.
