Radio Research - MACV-SOG 265th Radio Research Company
From the commencement of their Vietnam Operation during the build up to the Tet Offensive in December 1967 the 265th Radio Research Company (Airborne) was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. Initially based at Bien Hoa they relocated to Camp Eagle (101st Airborne Division HQ at Phu Bai) during the Tet Offensive in 1968.
Part of the Army Security Agency members of the 265th were highly trained elite personnel. They partook in every major operation of the 101st Airborne Division during their Vietnam Tour.
With the departure of the 101st Airborne Division from Vietnam, in April of 1972 the 265th RRC was deactivated.
