The support company of the 2 REP Type II badge, the CEA is the specialist company with sections for Reconnaissance, Anti-tank, Air defense, a sniper section and a mountain parachute commando section.
The badge was created in 1994 as the company wanted a triangle shaped badge to fit in with the rest of the 2 REP badges. The badge is made by FIA Lyon with maker marked and a unmarked version made.
