French Foreign Legion 1st Engineer Regiment Command and Logistics Company pocket badge

The command and logistics company of the 1 REG, a specialist company composed of 235 legionnaires and 132 vehicles in 9 sections which are responsible for supply, vehicle maintenance, amphibious reconnaissance, mine clearance and command. The badge was created in 1999 by Captain Gombeaud for the 6 REG and carried over into the 1 REG by Captain Franccini. All the 1 REG CCL badges are made by FIA with five variant examples made, the first just had the FIA maker mark on the rear, the second had the motto "Men sana in corpore sano". In 2004 a 20th anniversary example were created with the date and motto on the rear, only 200 were issued. In 2008 another model was issued for Camerone with Camerone 2008 and motto on the rear of the badge. In 2012 ten silver examples were created and made by FIA.
