bi-metal badge in the form of the seated figure of Britannia (facing left) holding out a sprig of olive in her extended right hand. In her left hand she holds a trident, the shaft of which rests against her lower left shoulder. Below her left arm is an oval shield bearing the emblem of the Great Union. The whole (all in white metal) enclosed by a laurel wreath. Below Britannia is a scroll inscribed 'THE NORFOLK REGT.' in gilding-metal. A pair of lugs to revers.
