Previously a brigade-size formation (6th Independent Airmobile Brigade), it was reorganized into regiment in 1999 and this type of insignia was approved. In 2013, the regiment was upgraded and became again a brigade. Since then this patch is obsolete. Thermal embossed on blue felt cloth.
