French Foreign Legion 73rd Engineer Battalion 21st Company badge

21e Compagnie du 73e Bataillon du Genie badge.
The 21st company of the 73rd Engineer battalion were created on the 16th August 1949 and were based at Kien An, the company supported the 73rd battalions work on the expansion of the Route Colonial 4 near Dong Khe. For the next three years the company was involved in numerous operations in the Tonkin Delta building and maintaining roads, river crossings and working on the general infrastructure of the Delta. In 1954 the company was working on fortifying bases and constructing roads around Qui Nhon in Central Annam.
The company was dissolved on the 31st July 1955.
The badge was made by Drago Paris Nice 43 rue Olivier Metra and Drago Paris Nice 3 rue de Rominville with silver examples issued for officers.
