SLOVENIA Armed Forces 10th Mechanized Battalion sleeve patch, subdued

The Battalion was established in- 1994 in Logatec and was originally called the 10th Battalion for International Cooperation, a special all-volunteer unit trained for participation in international military exercises and later for Peace Support Operations. Already on its establishment was composed entirely of professional soldiers, but was also the first to implement training according to NATO standards. In April- 2001, the battalion was renamed into 10th Mechanized Battalion.
