The 3rd Panzer Division (German: 3. Panzerdivision) was a West German armoured formation, part of the I Corps of the Bundeswehr alongside the 1st Panzer, 7th Panzer, and 11th Panzergrenadier Divisions. The division was disbanded in 1994, so this insignia is now obsolete.
