In 1993 the 317th Guards Airborne Battalion, which was part of the 103rd Guards Airborne Division, was upgraded to the 317th Separate Mobile Brigade. In 2002 It became the 103rd Separate Mobile Brigade, and since then this insignia is obsolete. Since 2007 the brigade has been part of the Special Forces of Belarus.
